March Female Athlete of the Month: Selma Ramos

March 29, 2014 | BTSLA announced today Selma Ramos as March Female Athlete of the Month. Selma is an 8th Grader at Berendo Middle School in the Koreatown neighborhood of Central Los Angeles. Despite having only been introduced to wrestling 4 short months ago, Selma has impressed her coach with her confidence and determination in the wrestling room.
“Selma’s confidence has increased noticeably since entering the wrestling room. She admits she was nervous to try wrestling and I applaud her for her courage. I am excited to see her compete for the first time in the upcoming Jamboree” said BTSLA Coach Summer Runyon.
Selma will be representing her school at the upcoming Jamboree on April 6th at San Pedro High School. The event marks the 2nd Jamboree of the 2013-14 school for BTSLA Middle School Programs.
