November Male Athlete of the Month: David Cardenas

December 11, 2013 | First year wrestler and Washington Irving Middle School student David Cardenas earned Male Athlete of the Month honors for November. Having decided to try wrestling after seeing a BTSLA demonstration during his school lunch, David was hooked after his first practice.
“David deserves this honor because of his commitment to the program, his display of sportsmanship and respect, and his willingness to try new things even when he is not always successful with his attempts,” said coach Vince Vergara.
As an 8th grade student, David will be competing in his first wrestling competition during the upcoming BTSLA Jamboree event on December 10th.
