From FAFSA to Fundamentals: Inside the Tomorrow’s Leaders SuperClinic

Posted: October 30, 2025

This past Sunday, October 26th, 66 students took part in another inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders Workshop filled with learning, motivation, and hands-on experiences both on and off the mat that helped each student take another step toward their goals.

The workshop began with FAFSA specialist Jorge Prado providing an overview of the financial aid process for students and parents. He shared valuable insights on what to expect when applying for aid, how to make the most of their applications, and how to accurately complete key sections.

After the introduction, the group split into two simultaneous sessions. Seniors and parents attended a hands-on Financial Aid Workshop, where Jorge guided them step by step through the application process. At the same time, younger students gathered downstairs with six-time World Champion and two-time Olympian Adeline Gray for a motivational session that focused on mindset, perseverance, and leadership.

In the seniors’ session, Jorge worked closely with students and their families, offering detailed, hands-on support. He answered individual questions, helped students get started, and ensured they understood each stage of the process. For many, this was their first time completing financial aid forms, and the opportunity to receive real-time guidance from an expert made a tremendous difference. It was an empowering experience that gave students the tools and confidence to take control of their educational future.

Meanwhile, underclassmen participated in an uplifting session with Adeline Gray focused on leadership, mindset, and athletic growth. Adeline shared her journey as an elite athlete, encouraging students to believe in their potential and persevere through challenges. During the second half of the workshop, students hit the mats for a hands-on training session. Adeline introduced isometric strength techniques and strategies to enhance double-leg takedowns, skills that improve athletic performance while reinforcing discipline and determination. The energy in the room was contagious as students worked together, learned new techniques, and pushed themselves to grow.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Workshop continues to be a space where students strengthen their minds, bodies, and futures. Seniors left feeling more prepared for life after high school, while underclassmen walked away inspired and equipped with practical tools to apply both on the mat and in everyday life.

We are incredibly grateful to our guest speakers, Jorge Prado and amazing clinician Adeline Gray, for sharing their time and expertise. And thank you our student athletes and parents, your continued support helps us provide opportunities that prepare our students to become the strong, confident leaders of tomorrow.
