Inaugural Annual Benefit Recap
Posted: March 21, 2014
March 21, 2014 | An energetic, passionate, like-minded community came together on Thursday March 13 for one clear goal; to support the mission of youth development through the sport of wrestling. BTSLA hosted their first Annual Benefit at the historic Kim Sing Theatre with 200+ guests who enjoyed the evening of live jazz from The John Proulx Trio, food and drink from Wolfgang Puck, screening of the organization’s short film Stellar Kids, and a silent auction full of gems.
Among the evening’s many specials guests were representatives from partner organizations such as After School All Stars, Bright Star Schools, LA Sheriff’s Department, as well as USA Wrestling’s Executive Staff, international representatives from the Freestyle World Cup delegations, and many former wrestling greats from around the world.
Proceeds from the event go directly to support BTSLA’s continued efforts to grow youth development opportunities for some of Los Angeles’s most at-risk youth.
With the success of the event, the LA based non profit looks forward to hosting this annual benefit for many years to come.
