LA84 Foundation Awards Beat the Streets Los Angeles $50,000

We are excited to announce that Beat the Streets Los Angeles is a proud 2021 grant recipient of the LA84 Foundation! The grant will total $50,000, the second largest grant in the nine-year history of Beat the Streets LA.

The LA84 Foundation, a legacy of the 1984 Olympic Games, is a national nonprofit institution that transforms lives and communities through its support of Southern California youth sports programs. This is the third grant Beat the Streets LA has been awarded by the LA84 Foundation, with other generous grants received in 2013 and 2016.

Much of this new funding will be utilized to grow opportunities in girl’s wrestling. The Beat the Streets LA Women’s Coaches and Mentors Summit — set to take place this summer — is just one example of Beat the Streets LA’s goal of strengthening its network of women coaches and mentors.
