Burroughs visits Los Angeles

December 10, 2012  | Olympic Champion shares wrestling skills with LA City Youth.
Jordan Burroughs, arguably, the best pound for pound freestyle wrester in the world, energized a large group of Beat the Streets – LA and LA City Section youth on Friday December 7.
Over 150 kids where invited to the Ramon C. Cortines High School gymnasium to participate in the very first clinic hosted by Beat the Streets – Los Angeles. “This was the first of many opportunities our program will provide for BTS-LA and LA City youth.” said executive director, Yero Washington. “It was great to see the excitement in the faces of all who attended our event.”
In addition to sharing his wrestling skills, Burroughs spoke to the importance of academics, commitment and work ethic. He also shared his personal story and how wrestling has positively shaped his life, helping him to achieve the success he is blessed with today.
