Scholarships for 8 Youth

June 27, 2013 | Beat the Streets – LA announced today the recipients of its inaugural Women’s Camp Scholarship Program. Eight young women from various BTSLA programs have been selected to participate in Marcie Van Dusen’s MVD Altitude Wrestling Camps in Lake Arrowhead, CA set to begin Saturday, June 29th.
These individuals were nominated by their coaches based on their hard work, commitment and leadership throughout the year. The scholarship includes transportation to and from camp and full camp tuition.

Founded by 2008 Olympian Marcie Van Dusen, MVD Altitude Wrestling Camps are designed specifically for the female wrestler. The core of the camp program includes guiding young women wrestlers to become successful individuals by challenging them mentally, physically and spiritually. The camp staff includes an all-star cast of female wrestlers including USA World Team members, Olympians, and college All-Americans.
