Tomorrow’s Leaders Program Update

Posted: April 21, 2021

Beat the Streets Los Angeles is halfway through a successful second phase of its inaugural Tomorrow’s Leaders Program, growing its impact to over 20 participants.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Program, offered to high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates, features virtual workshops where guest speakers share their journey and provide knowledge to help inspire professional, athletic, and personal success. With the goal of preparing student-athletes for professional and academic careers, the workshops focus on topics such as college and career planning, finances, wrestling training and coaching tips.

So far, the second phase of the program has featured guests such as Darius Riggins, Director of Outreach at CSU Bakersfield, Emma Randall, former Assistant Women’s National Coach at USA Wrestling and current Director of Programming at Beat the Streets New York, and Beat the Streets Los Angeles’ own Carl Fronhofer, former Head Wrestling Coach at Columbia University and Director of Operations at RKS Design, and Morris Bird, current Program Director for Beat the Streets LA.

Three more workshops of the same design will continue to take place until the end of May.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful speakers who have shared their knowledge, stories, and experiences in Tomorrow’s Leaders!
