January Male Athlete of the Month: RJ Alvarez

February 3, 2014  |  BTSLA is proud to introduce January Male Athlete of the month is awarded to RJ Alvarez of San Pedro. RJ, an 8th grader at Dana Middle School participates in BTSLA’s San Pedro community program at San Pedro High School.
“RJ has shown to be a great leader and shows compassion for his teammates. He is always willing to help others and loves to work hard in practice” stated BTSLA and San Pedro High School Coach Roman Hernandez.
Despite joining the program just a few months ago RJ showed his potential by taking 2nd place at the December BTSLA Jamboree. RJ hopes to wrestle for San Pedro High School next year as a freshman.
