Olympic Wrestling Success and the Future of Beat the Streets LA: Event Re-Cap

Posted: November 18, 2021

Beat the Streets Los Angeles gathered with friends and family last month to celebrate wrestling achievements at the 2020 Olympics and share a vision for an exciting future.

Featured guests included Adeline Gray (2020 Olympic Silver Medalist, 6x World Champion), Kyle Snyder (2016 Olympic Gold Medalist, 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist), Terry Steiner (USA Wrestling Women’s Freestyle National Team Coach), and Bill Zadick (USA Wrestling Men’s Freestyle National Team Coach).

In a Q&A style format with Beat the Streets LA board member Sally Roberts, the special guests shared valuable insight about their experience growing up with wrestling and competing at the Olympic and World champion level.

Beat the Streets LA Board of Directors Andy Barth, Andy Redman, Dan Hyman, Tom Hazell Jeff Newman, and Sam Goldfeder were also in attendance, advocating for the organization’s work.

Andy Barth, along with Laura Stein and Sam Goldfeder, generously hosted the two receptions at their homes, making the special nights possible.

With the Olympic Games being held in Los Angeles in 2028, Beat the Streets LA has high ambitions to expand programming to more girls and boys than ever before.
