April Male Athlete of the Month: Ricardo Valdez

April 30, 2014 | Vista Middle School 7th grader Ricardo Valdez earned the distinction of April Male Athlete of the Month. Ricardo joined the wrestling program just eight months ago and has proven to be a leader to not only his wrestling team but also his school campus.  “Ricardo is one of my hardest working kids and has a great attitude. He shows up to every practice ready to go and puts in a ton of hard work. He is a great example for our other athletes to follow.” said coach Eric Medina.  Ricardo will compete for Vista Middle School in the upcoming May 10th BTSLA Jamboree at Sotomayor Learning Academies in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Northeast Los Angeles.
