Fall Youth Championship Recap

Posted: December 1, 2023

On Sunday, November 12, Beat the Streets LA hosted its annual Fall Youth Championship at Belmont High School in Los Angeles.

We were thrilled at the turnout, with over 150 student-athletes competing from 12 of our programs. This event marked our second of the year, following the Angel City Grand Prix, an all-girls tournament held in April.

The success of the championship was made possible by the support we receive year-round from our dedicated supporters, partners, donors, and foundations. Thanks to this collective effort, Beat the Streets LA was able to offer participation in the championship at no cost to all attendees. Elementary and middle school student-athletes took part, with every wrestler enrolled in one of our 17 active programs.

For some participants, this championship served as their inaugural experience in competition, while others were seasoned athletes within our programs. The event provided a valuable opportunity for students from across the greater Los Angeles area to challenge themselves and showcase their skills against athletes from different neighborhoods. Athletes from as far as Oxnard, Topanga, Antelope Valley, El Monte, South LA, and San Pedro came together to compete in the heart of Downtown LA.

We extend our gratitude to all the dedicated staff and volunteers whose efforts significantly contributed to making this event a memorable experience for the young athletes and their parents.
